Most of the time, men lack awareness of what would be best for them. Sony Pictures Classics has released the official teaser for Sophie Brooks’s unusual and awkward independent comedy Oh, Hi! Oh, Hi! is the second fun full-length movie Sophie Brooks produced. Following its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in 2025, this short film is currently showing at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City during the current year’s summer. Though I could classify it as a romantic comedy, I wouldn’t describe the film as particularly romantic since it primarily examines the turbulent events that follow when this young woman discovers her partner is not interested in her.
The first romantic weekend trip Iris and Isaac go on is ruined by bad luck. When he told her their relationship was merely situational, she freaked out. Iris goes to extraordinary measures to persuade him he is meant to be with her since she thinks he is just confused and unsure of what he wants. She locks him in to achieve this. John Reynolds and Geraldine Viswanathan play their two friends; Molly Gordon and Logan Lerman play Iris and Isaac. The movie at Sundance did not appeal to me especially. Still, for a lot of other people, this should be interesting.
